Cap Gris Nez. Zuidelijke grens van de Vlaamse Zee en van het Kanaal. Interessante plek op zoölogisch vlak. Kustfauna. Pelagische nachtvissen: glasaaltjes of larven van de paling, Leptocephalus morrisii, synoniem van Conger conger, larve van de zeepaling.
