On the basis of bottom samples, the granulometry and the composition of the bottom of the Lower-Zeeschelde is determined. These data are then mapped. The mapping of the bottom of the lower Zeeschelde needs to be repeated every 5 years, because of the temporal variability of the composition of the bottom sediments. This variation in sediment composition is also seen spatially. Scope Themes: Geology - Geophysics - Sedimentation, Geology - Geophysics - Sedimentation > Sediments - rocks - pore waters Keywords: Fresh water, Brackish water, Granulometry, Lithology, ANE, Scheldt Estuary, Belgium, Zeeschelde Temporal coverage
