Namur Institute for Complex Systems - naXys (Unamur-naXys)
https://www.naxys.be/
The main objective of naXys is the study of complex systems (i.e. systems composed of a large number of simple elements in interaction and exhibiting emerging phenomena), by means of the analysis of real-world data, their modelling through mathematics and numerical simulations, and their control and optimisation.

Within the research groups several research lines are in place:
- Dynamical astronomy, cosmology and astrobiology
- Mathematical biology
- Bio-inspired Evolution Strategies & Quantum Optics
- Socio-economic complexity
- Stability and robustness

The marine aspect of the research focuses on oceanic systems on planets and their satellites.
