GEMEL (Task Force of estuarine and coastal areas) helps to improve knowledge of estuarine and coastal ecosystems on the entire coastline between Dunkirk in the North and the Seine estuary in the South.
Particular attention is paid at the estuaries of Picardy (Somme, Authie and Canche), located near the Research Station of the University of Picardie Jules Verne where is based the GEMEL.
