DG MARE of the European Commission is holding a public consultation until 7 December on ways to make the Blue Economy more sustainable within the framework of the EU Green Deal.
The Blue Economy covers all economic activities related to seas and coasts (e.g. shipping & ports, fisheries & aquaculture, coastal tourism, etc.).
The aim is to develop a strategy that promotes economic recovery and addresses climate change through the promotion of sustainable products and services that preserve the marine environment and ocean health.
