The Flanders Marine Institute is organising the next VLIZ Marine Science Day (VMSD) on 13 March 2019, which will again take place in the Staf Versluyscentrum, Bredene. The VMSD is an annual interdisciplinary network and information event for everyone concerned with marine and coastal sciences in Flanders/Belgium and the neighbouring regions. During this edition, the SDGs - Sustainable Development Goals will be the theme of the day.
If you would like to present your research or initiatives at this event, please provide an abstract in English via the form before 14 January 2019 and indicate whether you would like to participate in the competition of oral and poster presentations or would rather give a demo.
Also during this 19th edition the VLIZ offers the possibility to companies, active in the marine and maritime sector, to participate in 'Meet the Company'. This part of the VMSD aims to bring recent graduates and young active researchers looking for a job into contact with potential employers from the marine and maritime sector. The VMSD is therefore the ideal opportunity to highlight the employment opportunities in your company among the more than 300 participating marine scientists from the most diverse research disciplines. When you participate in 'Meet the Company', VLIZ offers you the opportunity to set up an information booth in the central hall. In addition, you will have the opportunity to present your company in plenary for one minute. If you are interested, please contact karen.rappe@vliz.be and we will contact you to discuss the possibilities.
Registration for the VMSD19 is now possible at http://www.vliz.be/vmsd/en/registration
