Abstract
    In September 2004 a teratological specimen of Rissoa variabilis (von Muehlfeldt, 1824) was found in Procida Island (Punta di Pioppeto). The niche shows two apertures because, after a damage, instead of repairing the hole, the specimen has produced a new additional peristome.
