Zacatrophon goliath n. sp. is described from the Gulf of California and is compared to two species assigned to the same genus. The new species differs primarily from all other. Zacatrophon species by its large shell, reaching over 90 mm in length, by the broad, long, flattened spine-like projections at the shoulder, the very broad last teleoconch whorl and siphonal canal and broadly open umbilicus, closed in all other Zacatrophon species.
