In this note, the discovery of a fragment of a lower jaw with dental elements of a badger is reported. The jaw, found on the Zandmotor beach near Ter Heijde and Monster, province of Zuid-Holland, the Netherlands, is according its morphology attributable to the badger, Meles meles (Linnaeus, 1758) and is placed on the basis of fossilization in the Early Holocene. Only once before the badger is noted of the Zandmotor as an Early Holocene fauna element in the literature (Mol & Langeveld, 2018).
