Abstract
The Rhodophyceae Acrochaetium secundatum (Lyngb.) Näg. and Aglaothamnium scopulorum (C. Ag.) G. Feldman.-Maz. var. polyspermum (C. Ag.) Halos have frequently been collected along the pier of Zeebrugge (Belgium) in 1977, 1978 and 1979. Both taxa have not been mentioned along the Belgian coast until now. The problem of their distinction from closely related species is discussed.
