Abstract
The carapace length of the shrimp is directly proportional to the total length. At each moulting, a certain number of segments is added to the exopodite of the antennula. The frequency of moulting is a function of the temperature. If the mean monthly temperatures off the Belgian coast are known, this will enable us to draw a growth curve of Crangon crangon.Connecting the modes in the successive population curves gives a growth curve with only relative value, but it nevertheless confirms the one obtained by the preceding method.
