Description
In the framework of the Raversijde Living Lab project, a dike is placed in front of the dike to assess the impact of waves in stormy conditions. By different sensors distributed on the dike, the assessment includes predicting rogue individual overtopping with a focus on infragravity ig waves, improving the dike foreshore morphodynamics prediction during storms, verifying wave conditions at the dike toe considering directional spreading, and identifying additional long waves beyond those currently considered in safety assessments.
