The structure of the neural complex of C. lepadiformis is redescribed. The neural gland has cyclic activity with, as extreme phases, an 'empty' stage and a 'compact and lobulated' stage. Its cells, at the compact stage, are able to phagocytose foreign substances brought in through the ciliary funnel.
