Study on sediment accumulation dynamics in a water environment has been done on core sample 95TE03a taken from Lake Teletskoye, Siberia-Russia. The study will have a better understanding by using both non-destructive and destructive analysis. The non-destructive analysis was done by bulk density and radiography, while the destructive by grain size analysis, organic matter and carbonate content determinations and the accumulation rate calculation of 210Pb activities. The interpretations revealed at least 4 sequences of sedimentation processes that have occurred in the lake and predicted as earthquake influences. Image analysis has heen done to support the radiography analysis. In the image analysis, the black-white shadow pictures of the radiographs were changed into grayscale forms of pixel distribution (histogram). Considering the characteristic of pixel distributions, the image analysis intended to determine sedimentary structures of the core sample qualitatively and to predict grain size distribution the whole core sample quantitatively.
