In a private collection, specimens of the southern cirriped Solidobalans fallax were found on a piece of bamboo, washed ashore, in the late eighties, on the beach near Oostende (Belgium). They lived together with Balanus perforatus and some Hiatella arctica. This discovery means that Solidobalanus fallax reached the Belgium coast on floating objects much earlier than 1996 (Kerckhof, 1997) on floating objects.
