A new genus and species, Campyloxiphos dineti, is described from the harpacticoid Peresime abyssalis, collected in the Cape Basin off Namibia. It differs from all known genera in the possession of a sigmoid cephalic stylet and is assigned to the Deoterthridae on the basis of its larval characters. Deoterthron dentatum Bradford and Hewitt and Austrotantulus lincolni Boxshall are redescribed and it is concluded that the latter species should be placed in the genus Deoterthron Bradford and Hewitt.
