This dataset contains stakeholder feedback collected during the second round of consultations in the MARBEFES project (Dec 2024–April 2025), covering 10 coastal locations across Europe. Stakeholders from governance, science, fisheries, tourism, and civil society engaged in structured workshops to evaluate scenarios, governance tools, biodiversity valuation, and marine policy priorities. The dataset includes sectoral representation, perceptions of governance, feedback on valuation tools and models, and reflections on ecological, economic, and socio-cultural aspects of marine systems.

This dataset reflects multi-region stakeholder insights captured via structured workshops and interactive tools as part of the MARBEFES project’s second consultation phase. It supports the development of transdisciplinary frameworks for marine governance and valuation.

The data were collected through interactive workshops held across all MARBEFES Broad Belt Transects, including Arctic, Atlantic, Baltic, and Mediterranean regions, from December 2024 to April 2025. Stakeholders participated in sessions covering topics such as marine biodiversity valuation, governance challenges, scenario evaluation, and MPA perspectives. Tools like Menti-meter were used to capture both quantitative and qualitative inputs. This dataset compiles responses across regions for comparative analysis and input into project-wide tool refinement and stakeholder-informed governance development.
