The research work of the Fluvial Hydroecology team (HEF) focuses on the ecology of rivers and the communities of organisms they support. The team’s activities focus on rivers impacted by human activities, particularly urbanisation and intensive agriculture. This leads the team to be interested in multi-stress situations potentially involving complex, synergistic or antagonistic effects. The objective of this research is to evaluate the impact of humans on the ecosystem, to provide diagnostic elements, to limit the negative effects, and to propose keys for their restoration and rehabilitation. This work will lead to the development of tools and methods that can eventually be transferred.
